Rental Appeals

IMPORTANT NOTICE REGARDING CANADA POST: Please note that due to ongoing labour discussions, Canada Post mail service may be experiencing delays. Please be mindful of possible delays when filing applications and documents with the Commission during this time and consider alternative methods of delivery (email: rentalappeals@irac.pe.ca, or drop off applications in-person) to ensure that your application is not impacted by postal delays.

Anyone dissatisfied with an Order received from the Rental Office may appeal to the Commission. To file your appeal, please complete a Notice of Appeal Form and email it to: rentalappeals@irac.pe.ca . Please note that this is a fillable PDF version, but a non-fillable PDF can be found below. You must also provide a copy of the Notice of Appeal to every other party involved in the Director’s Order. The Notice of Appeal must be provided to the Commission and every other party within the appeal timeline set out in the Residential Tenancy Act.

IMPORTANT: When submitting your Notice of Appeal to the Commission, please remember to attach a copy of the Order from the Director of Residential Tenancy that you wish to appeal and proof that you have provided a copy of the Notice to the other parties. Your appeal may not be able to proceed if this proof is not provided.
