Notice of Termination
Pursuant to subsection 8(2)
of the
Land Identification Regulations:
(2) If notice
of termination is served on the Minister in accordance with subsection
(1), the agreement shall cease to have effect on the expiration of ten
years from the anniversary date next following the date of receipt of
the notice.

In order to
have the Identification terminated on a parcel, please follow the
process below:

Have three
copies of the Notice of Termination (link found
below) signed and notarized by a Notary Public.

Attach a
copy of the legal description for the property as Schedule "A" on
each copy and forward all three copies to the Commission.

Commission
staff will have the copies receipted by the Minister responsible for
the
Prince Edward Island Lands Protection Act and then return
them to the applicant.

The
applicant must then have all three copies of the Notice
of Termination registered with the Registrar of Deeds in Prince
Edward Island. Please note that a fee will apply and the Registrar
of Deeds can advise you with respect to same. The Registrar
will retain one copy and one copy is for the applicant's files.

The third
copy is to be forwarded to
the Commission for its file.
