VICTORIA WATER AND SEWAGE COMMISSION
Application to Increase
Water and Sewage Rates & Charges
TAKE
NOTICE
that
Victoria Water and Sewage
Commission (the Utility) has filed an application with the Island
Regulatory and Appeals Commission (the Commission) seeking approval to
increase annual water rates and charges from $140.00 to $210.00 per unit;
and annual sewer rates and charges from $375.00 to $390.00 per unit,
effective January 1, 2013. In addition, the Utility is seeking approval to
introduce a service availability charge which will represent 50% of the
annual flat rate and will be applicable to undeveloped properties having
available service(s).

Written comments must be received no later than Friday,
December 28, 2012 to be
considered.
THE NECESSITY OF A PUBLIC
HEARING will be decided
by the Commission following its initial review of the filing and the
written comments received concerning this application. If a public hearing
is to be held, a Notice of Hearing will be published. Otherwise, the
Commission will finalize its review in the form of a written Order. Any
Orders issued in this matter will be posted on the Commission’s website at
www.irac.pe.ca.
