

ALLOWABLE PERCENTAGE
RESIDENTIAL RENT INCREASE FOR 2012
In accordance with the
Rental of
Residential Property Act,
the
Island Regulatory and Appeals Commission has determined that the allowable
percentage increase for residential rent during 2012 shall be as follows:
-
3.2 percent for heated residential premises;
-
2.0 percent for unheated residential premises; and
-
1.0 percent for a
mobile home site only in a mobile home park.
Lessors who believe their
special circumstances justify a rent increase above the allowable percentage
may apply to the Director of Residential Rental Property pursuant to Section
23 of the
Act.
