Island Waste Management Corporation
Application for an Increase in its Rates and Charges
Notice of Application
TAKE NOTICE
that the Island Waste Management Corporation ("IWMC" or the "Corporation") has applied to the Island Regulatory and Appeals
Commission (the "Commission") for approval of increases in its rates
and charges for waste management services provided throughout the
province.
The application states that the
Corporation requires approximately $570,000 in additional annual
revenues. IWMC states that its mandate is to balance a cost
effective and environmentally responsible provincial waste
management system for both residential and commercial sectors of
P.E.I. IWMC has not adjusted rates since 2006 and has experienced
annual inflationary operating cost increases.
