Decision and Order

On 15 March 1999, Ms. Sophie Turcot, Pricing Advisor – Eastern Region, filed with the Commission an application under Section 32 of the Petroleum Products Act on behalf of Petro-Canada requesting approval for a decrease of 0.1 cent per litre in the prices contained in its dealer tank truck pricing schedule, due to market conditions. After discussions with staff, this application was amended on 16 March 1999 to reflect proposed prices to the nearest one-tenth of a cent and as it was unclear from the original application, to clarify whether or not the request was to include low sulphur diesel in addition to all grades of gasoline.

The Commission, after consideration of this amended application this date, together with a review of area prices, approved the application to decrease Petro-Canada’s prices of low sulphur diesel and all grades of gasoline to its dealers as requested, effective 12:01 a.m. on Thursday, 18 March 1999, in accordance with the Order which follows.

THE COMMISSION THEREFORE ORDERS AS FOLLOWS:

2. THAT the above dealer prices, with seven per cent G.S.T. added, shall be indicated on all documents accompanying deliveries of these products.
